MAC Spring Color Forecast Collection: eyeshadows and lipsticks

Products I picked up from MAC Spring Color Collection that I'm thinking about returning:(

I picked up three single eyeshaddows from this collection(s) and found out after that one of the shadow I got called "Da Bling" is actually in MAC's permanant collection!lol And the other two shadows called "Hot Hot Hot" and "Rosy Outlook" are also nothing special... Why did I buy them?!? I dunno!! Whenever a new collection comes out I just get suckered into buying more than I planned! Good thing is that I recently found out that MAC has amazing refund policy that allows me to return items even they are used. If I knew about this years ago I probably won't have at least 25% of the MAC stuff that I currently own!lol

Hot Hot Hot, Rosy Outlook, Da Bling
I also picked up three lipsticks from this collection; and thinking about returning all three if not at least one!
Radicchio (lustre), Bubble Gum (glaze)
Both Radicchio and Bubblegum are more of frosty finish than lustre or glaze, I'm not sure why MAC is calling them lustre and glaze finish...
I actually bought Radicchio thinking about giving to my mom; it's a bright berry tone with sheen. My mom typically likes to wear berry color on lips but she found this one to have too much of blue undertone sheen. I think I will return this one for sure... It's a fun color but I don't see myself wearing this often...maybe once or twice a year just cuz I feel bad I haven't worn it..lol
Bubblegum is a frosty bright mid tone pink with tiny shimmers; the frosty shimmers ruined this color for me:( I've been seeing a lot of frosty and shimmery lipsticks being released from MAC lately so I thought I would try this out but I should have kept with my instinct that told me I wouldn't like em! This color reminds of what a couger-ish over the hill bleached blonde slutty waitress should wear. Again, it's a fun bright color but not for me:(
Now on to one lipstick color that I do like=) but not without a problem!lol The below swatch on the right side is "Laugh A Lot" lipstick from the Spring Color Forecast Collection and to the left is Viva Glam VI; both lustre finish but a lot more pigmented than your typical lustre finish lipsticks from MAC.
Viva Glam VI (lustre), Laugh A Lot (lustre)
The reason why I swatched Viva Glam VI along with Laugh A Lot is because as soon as I applied Laugh A Lot I knew it reminded me of a color that I already had and after going through many many colors I found that Viva Glam VI is the closest match! Viva Glam VI is more pink-ish and Laugh A Lot of more coral-ish but I think that they are still a pretty good match. Hmm...for some reason, in the picture above the colors do look more different than when they nare applied hald and half on the lips! On my lips the colors look identical!lol And since both are lustre finish; feels and applies the same...I feel like I should return this one too... Ugh, I hate having to return so many products! I feel bad for some reason... Is that weird??

MAC CRUSH METAL PIGMENT (STACKED1!)

MAC SPRING FORECAST COLLECTION: METAL CRUSHED PIGMENT STACKED 1!
I love these new pigments from MAC Spring Color 1 Forecast Collection! They come in stackable clear jars and have amazing color payoffs (some colors more so than others). They offer medium to full coverage with pretty reflective metallic sparkles. They are suppose to be crease-resistant and long wearing limited edition pigments only available 2010 Spring.

I was immediately attracted to the pigments from the Spring Color 1 Forecast Collection (the ones in my pictures here) rather than the ones from the Spring Color 2 Forecast which are variety of sparkly peachy-yellow-lime green-ish colors.

I think the stackable jars are a great idea! They definitely making storing these pigmensts a lot easier! You have the choice of stacking all four jars or into two sets.
These pigments differ from regular MAC pigments in that they are they feel and apply creamy and the pigments are kind of "wet." They easily clump up even in the jars as well as when applied which isn't necessarily a bad thing because the clumping can be easily smoothed out with bit of blending with fingertip or eyeshadow brush. And when they are applied properly they are absolultely beautiful!!

Another bonus is that because these pigments feel somewhat "wet" they are kind of sticky and easily sticks to your skin without any kind of base! And with the intense color payoff using a base underneath can definitely be cut out of the steps when using these pigments. And the sticky-ness of thes pigments also prevent the much hated fall-outs that typically worsens with pigment uses.

All four colors are very pretty and unique. The color intensities are buildable. They apply so creamy and can look like sparkly liquid metals with intense applications.
The deep purple color pigment has the most intense full coverage color payoff and it's also my favorite color from this stack. And as shown in my pictures below, the color can appear to be deep purple to metallic purple depending on the angle of the view.
My least favorite color is the light lavender color. I thought it was going to be my favorite color when I first saw it in the stack. But I feel that the glitters are too big and it's also the most clumpy. It's still a beautiful color and I will definitely use it but just not my favorite out the the four colors in this pigment set.
This pigment set is released at MAC stores on Feb 11/2010 and is priced at $38.50CDN.)
Thank you for visitng my blog!

GOSH waterproof eye shadows (cream shadow sticks) REVIEW & GIVEAWAY!

After being disappointed with MAC's shadesticks (it just didn't blend out once applied on my eyelids!), I was really hesitant when buying these GOSH waterproof eye shadows since they look exactly like the MAC shadesticks!

So I bought one, tried it few times, and loved it! Theyare cheaper than MAC shadesticks and blend so much better too! So when I saw that they were on sale for 40% off I grabbed as much as I can! lol

The above picture is swatches of GOSH waterproof eye shadows in "Love that purple," "Love that violet," "Love that dolphin, "Love that copper," "Love that real gold," "Love that gold," "Love that champagne."

Now the swatches blended out:)
I absolultely love these eye shadow sticks! The colors are so pigmented and blend easily without much effort. I also picked up a pearly white one; this one is called "eye shadow base" rather than "waterproof eye shadow" like the other ones, which doesn't make much sense to me because it looks and applys exactly same as the other ones.

It goes on very very white and frosty but blends out evenly like magic! Perfect as base for any eye shadow color! It looks great under a matt eyeshadow to give the matt color faint shimmers!

So now on to the GIVEAWAY....
