LUSH Bath video: GEO PHYZZ & POP IN THE BATH

I chose Geo Phyzz bath bomb and Pop In The Bath bubble bar for a bath that's going to help relieve sore and tense muscles=)

My thoughts: 
When Geo Phyzz bath bomb fizzed away it didn't completely melt away, there were bits of sea salts left at the bottom of the tub but they did eventually dissolve during the bath. Geo Phyzz has a strong herbal scent so if you are looking for a bath bomb that's floral or perfume-ish this is definitely not the one for you! However, if you are looking for a relaxing herbal bath to treat tense and sore muscles Geo Phyzz just may do that! Using Geo Phyzz on its own would have been just fine but I wanted some bubbles so I had to choose a bubble bar but most of LUSH bubble bars just didn't seem to combine well (scent wise) with Geo Phyzz. I would have picked French Kiss bubble bar to use with Geo Phyzz since French Kiss has lavender which would go well with herbal-ish scents but I've recently used French Kiss several times so I asked a LUSH lady to help me pick out a bubble bar and she picked Pop in the Bath for me. Sandalwood, pine and cypress oils in Geo Phyzz helped relax my muscles while the citrus oils in Pop in the Bath smelled and felt energizing; overall a good combination.

This product comes in a slick silver  case. The case looks luxurious but when you pick it up it's very lightweight and definitely not made with metal, but it's still very sturdy. It's small and thin enough easily carry it in a small handbag.

The brush duo that comes in the palette is useable. I wouldn't say it's a great brush but for a brush that comes in a palette it's not bad. It can be useful for touch-ups throughout the day.

This product sure does sound great. And the before and after pictures and clinical test results are impressive. One thing that came to mind is: will eyeshadows still work to treat and prevent those aging issues even when used on top of eyeshadow base/primer? Nowadays most of us use eyeshadow base or primer under powder eyeshadow... but if this product is to work like skin care shouldn't the product have direct contact with the skin that it's treating?

So I tested out the product by using eyeshadow primer on one eyelid and using just the Anastasia Illumin8 eyeshadow on the other eyelid...

Firstly, these eyeshadows are very well pigmented even without primers or base! The powder feel soft and silky on the skin and blends easily. 

There wasn't any noticeable difference in the eyelid skin texture or firmness when I took off the eyeshadows after 4 hours.

I continued to use primer on one eyelid and Anastasia Illumin8 eyeshadow on its own on the other eye for 4 days. By the 4th day, after carefully examining my eyelids, I felt confident that the eyelid I wore the Anastasia Illumin8 eyeshadow without a primer felt softer and and smooth. I didn't have much discolouration on the eyelids to begin with so it's hard to say if the eyelid skin tone changed at all...

I continued to use the Anastasia Illumin8 eyeshadow on its own on both of my eyelids for 3 weeks.

The skin on my eyelids felt moisturized and soft. Prior to using this product the skin underneath my eyebrows was dry and bit flaky but after using this product for 3 weeks it felt well hydrated.

I'm overall satisfied with this product! This particular palette is a good neutral palette. However, I do wish there was a light brown or champagne color in this palette.
