Bonvivant Botanical Mask Pack Review + Giveaway

Bon vivant botanical mask pack from memebox review and giveaway

Hi guys, long time no blogging... To kickstart regular blogging this Fall, I have a review of Bonvivant Botanical Mask Packs as well as a small giveaway for those of you that are interested in trying these masks. This is sponsored by yours truly, me!

With recent news of how some Korean sheet masks are folded unhygienically by very poorly paid workers, it's become a must to check out not only the ingredients, but also the brand background and how products are produced. And this is just my opinion after some research online as well as experience with the brand in the past, but Memebox (umbrella company to Bonvivant) checks out to be a reputable trusted company based in Korea.

I found these masks intriguing because they are made with 100% biodegradable botanical fibre. I've used plenty of cotton, gel, cellulose, and even foil sheet masks, but now, we are all getting hyped about botanical fibre sheet masks, so of course I had to try it out...

These Bonvivant Botanical Mask Packs boasts 93% naturally derived ingredients including use of Japanese white birch tree sap instead of water. You can find full list of ingredients below for each masks.

But rather than the ingredients in the serum base of these mask packs, the real star point of Bonvivant Botanical Mask Pack is the botanical fibres the sheets are made of, which is claimed to be beneficial to the skin as much as the serum base, if not more.

The Soothing & Hydrating Aloe mask sheet is made with aloe fibre, as the Clarifying & Hydrating Rose mask sheet is with Rose fibre, and Tightening & Sebum Control Mint Tree mask sheet with mint leaf fibre. All three types do not have artificial colour or dye and slightly differ in colour, but overall has that natural raw botanical fibre colour.

Here's how the mask unfolds:
It's drenched with the serum base but not overflowing.

It unfolds pretty easily for such a thin sheet mask!

There are some noticeable bubbly foam as the mask unfolds.

The mask sheet is thin but doesn't rip easily.

The fibre sheet is held in shape by this plastic mesh insert.

These mask sheets fit relatively well on the face and adheres well on the skin. Maximum time of wear is 20 minutes. There's a very slight tingling for the aloe mask, whereas the tingling from rose and mint tree masks is more intense: almost like burning type of sensation that starts to feel cooling. Bonvivant says that you shouldn't be alarmed by the tingling, that it's just the mask working to find the right pH balance for the skin. Hmm... I can't say I completely buy that but the results speak for themselves.

I enjoyed the rose mask the most. My skin felt clarified, detoxed, brightened, yet hydrated. The mint tree mask I was slightly concerned prior to using because I wasn't sure how my current sensitive skin with minor breakouts would react to peppermint. After reading various Korean blogger reviews on how this mint tree mask helped to calm breakouts, I gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised. It calmed (as in didn't make it worse) my breakouts and pores looked overall smoother. And using the same type of mask every other day for a week made a huge difference in my overall skin quality.

However, the aloe mask didn't do much for my skin. It seemed to somewhat soothe my skin, but that's about it... It didn't hydrate the skin much either...

Everyone's skin is different, perhaps this aloe one would work out better for some of you out there...

  1. These sounds great! I heard how good they are from my ig followings review. I have the tea tree one from a gift and after reading this Im excited to use it since its material looks new to me. I honestly prefer reading blogs over Youtube because once I go on Youtube I will end up binge watching lotsssss of kbeauty vids when I actually have lots of college work to do *cries*. I also like me some reading at night before sleeping. Happy Chuseok to you and I hope you can blog more in the future! - @fnn_w /eunoia-you.blogspot.com

  3. Thank you for this review! It was really informational and helpful. For me, I would prefer blog posts but I honestly don't mind YouTube videos either. For YouTube, you could do a haul, or maybe an unfavorites video (products that didn't work for you or you don't like any more)? For blog posts, you could do like a review of your all time favorites. Thank you for the review and giveaway!!

  4. Wow, great review! I like blog posts more than YouTube videos because like in this one, there is a lot more information about the products and I love how you add the ingredients to them as well! Sometimes YouTube videos are too long so I would prefer blogs to get the info quick! Thank u again for the giveaway!

  5. Hey dear! Thank you so much for the giveaway. I love your reviews and your posts on Instagram. Ooo.. One fun idea is to do a review or first impression on the newest, weird gimmicky skincare or makeup products! Do they really work and if it's worth the price. And ANDDD what are some of your favourite travel makeup products? Products that have more than one usage so that it's easy to travel with too. That would be quite useful. :) have a great day!
