Becca Rose Quartz Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Review

I've been a fan of Becca Shimmering Skin Perfectors for many years. I have Moonstone and Opal both in Liquid and Pressed, as well as couple of shades in Poured Creme, and some of these are my most used highlighters. I skipped on the highly raved Champagne Pop because it seem to lean slightly too gold for my liking.

But, when Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Rose Quartz was released, I knew without a doubt, that I had to have it. It's a gorgeous soft light/pale pink with slightly warm undertone. My skin is very warm tone with slightly olive undertone, so warm tones do suit me better, however, I don't like overly warm toned highlighters or blushers; that's just my personal taste in shades rather than what "suits" me.

Besides the fact that this is a gorgeous 'my kind of shade,' it has that familiar soft, slightly creamy to the touch texture that other Becca Shimmering Perfectors (Pressed) are known for. However, this one does feel and look slightly less pigmented, and slightly more lightweight, compared to the other ones I own. And don't get me wrong, this can be just as opaque on the skin as the other Shimmering Perfectors: whereas Shimmering Perfector Pressed in Opal, Moonstone, and Rose Gold (what I have in my possession for comparison) need one swipe, Rose Quartz need two swipes to get the same intensity of opaqueness. This actually worked to my benefit because it was more forgiving to uneven skin texture and fine lines.

After 6 hours:
Without primer or foundation, this still held up decently for over 4 hours on my skin, but by the end of 5th hour, it did somewhat faded out. With a good primer and setting mist, this lasted over 8 hours on the face without much fading. And this Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed actually looks great foiled on the eyes! It almost looks metallic when it's foiled; sorry, no picture of the foiled version but do try it out for yourself!

This is unfortunately no longer available for purchase as it was a limited edition. If you missed out and haven't tried any Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector yet, do check out the Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Opal which is still my favorite!
