Advertisements for Leaders Insolution Coconut Water Gel Mask(s) have been all over place this summer in Korea... And I finally got around to trying these out! My review here is based on trying each of these four types (Aquatoning, Luminous, AC & Pore Care, and Volume & Glow) three times in a week.
Leaders Insolution Coconut Water Gel Mask bio-cellulose sheets are made from naturally fermented coconut and the mask serum contains 30% coconut water as well as coconut oil. Each of the four types has different added ingredients that reflect different skin care needs. Aquatoning mask has hyaluronic acid for deep hydration and adenosine for wrinkle care. Luminous mask has sea buckthorn berry extract for added vitamins and nutrients as well as niacinamide for brightening. Volume & Glow mask has squalene and adenosine for lifting and firming. AC & Pore Care mask has witch hazel water and eucalyptus to soothe and smooth sensitive skin (see below for full list of ingredients for each mask).
Here's how the mask unfolds:
It comes folded in four, with a protective film on both
sides of the mask sheet.
sides of the mask sheet.
There's a lot of gel-ish serum on the protective film rather
than the actual mask sheet.
than the actual mask sheet.
It's a good idea to scrape some of the serum off the
protective film and apply it on the face prior to masking,
it's such a waste if you don't!

Peel off the protective film off one side of the mask,
and apply the mask on the face.
and apply the mask on the face.
And then, peel off the protective layer off the other side
and adjust the cellulose sheet mask to best fit the face.
Maybe I'll start taking these photos of masks actually on the face instead of my hand soon! But for now, I'm too shy~~ and I'll also start taking photos with my DSLR camera for better quality. These ones were just taken with my phone!

Bio-cellulose sheet masks aren't anything new or unique so I won't say much about it than that it adheres on to the skin well, and it allows for more of the serums to get absorbed into the skin rather than dissipating into thin air as we are masking. And it's definitely gentler on the skin than many cotton or gel sheet masks.
I'm really loving how there are more and more sheet masks being released with sheets being made of naturally derived ingredients. So not only are we benefiting from the serum on these masks but the actual mask sheet itself is now a treat for the skin. The maximum time of wear for these masks is 20 minutes. Near the end of 20 minutes, the outer ends of the mask sheet does start to dry up.
All four types has a light coconut scent as the base with slightly differing scents that reflects secondary core ingredients of each mask types.
My favorite is the Aquatoning Mask; it feels the most gentle and soothing. It's not overly moisturising but more so refreshingly hydrating. I also like the Volume & Glow Mask; it gives deep moisture and using it three times in a week definitely made my skin appear more youthful and plump. But, using it just once gave me similar result as Aquatoning, perhaps slightly more moisturising. As for the Luminous Mask and AC & Pore Care Mask; these are not as moisturising as the Aquatoning or Volume & Glow, and also doesn't give extra brightening or pore benefits. They both feel just like the Aquatoning but slight less hydrating.
So, overall, do I think these are worth it? Will I repurchase?? I've already repurchased a few Aquatoning and Volume & Glow! But, I won't be repurchasing Luminous or AC & Pore Control...

Lisa great review of these masks. I've been so intrigued by Kbeauty and the now infamous sheet masks but I have yet to dip my toes. These masks I don't think are readily available to me here in the States, but they sound wonderful. Also, do not be shy to post your photo with the mask on. I've seen your selfies on IG and you are stunning!
